I wonder what Edinburgh's local labour MPs have to say about the Leader of the House of Commons slipping up on this today a-la the Conservatives last week.

Labour does not wish to make pensions and the looming crisis an election issue. But Mr Hain's admission that there is likely to be legislation on the issue has provoked claims that the Government is hiding its true intention over pensions from voters.

Measures being examined include raising the retirement age or forcing employees and employers to contribute to save.
